Funeral services for Mary Winifred Newhouse, age 88 of Honey Grove, TX will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, May 28, 2012 at Selfs Church of Christ, in Selfs Community. Mr. Emery Banker and Mr. Jimmy Newhouse will officiate the service. Named as Pallbearers are; Ryan Newhouse, Bill Banker, Jon Banker, Danny Banker, Kenneth Jones and David Newhouse. Named as Honorary Pallbearers are; Larry Dobbs, Ray Tyler, Burl Proctor and Roger Knudsen. Interment will follow at Allens Point Cemetery in Allens Point, TX. Mrs. Newhouse passed away on Friday May 25, 2012 at Hilltop Haven Nursing Center in Gunter, TX.

Mary Winifred (Banker) Newhouse was born on August 20, 1923 in Greens Chapel community, TX to Samuel Ennis and Maude Eva (Timmons) Banker. She married Allen Hershel Newhouse on December 21, 1947 in Paris, TX. He preceded her in death April 10, 1996. Mrs. Newhouse was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker and was very active in her church.

She is survived by Son,Paul Newhouse and wife Diane of McKinney, TX, grandson Ryan and wife Claudia Newhouse of Melissa, granddaughter Emily Newhouse of McKinney, one great grandson, Samuel Newhouse, brother, Clarice Banker of Honey Grove and several nieces and nephews She is further survived by three sisters-in-law, Betty Wilcoxin, Katie Hopson and Judy Kennedy. Family visitation will be held Sunday, 6-8:00 P.M., May 27 at the Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Honey Grove, TX.
